Assorted Wine
At the Winedale, they were having half price on wine. They don’t sell a lot of wine, but the owner of the bar, Lota Dunham does stock the bar with a small selection of quaffable wines, and an even smaller collection of wineglasses. I tried the the Sauvignon Blanc,Chardonnay, and a Merlot. The Sauvignon Blanc was very sweet, the Chardonnay was the better of the white wines i tried, but the merlot…Very fragrant, with a mouth filling flavor, that went great with Mark McCulloch’s Winedale Wednesday Night Open Mic.Also in other drinking news, i bought a 1.5L of non-vintage Corbet Canyon Chardonnay. This wine was easy drinking and with more Chard character than i expected.I understand the difference between fine wine and cheap wine, and this was cheap wine.Whatever they do to make that cheap wine seem like quaffable vin-it’s working.I had read a review of the Corbet Canyon, and I’m gonna fetch a 3L cask of it tomorrow.I guess I like wine just for what it is in the moment.I look forward to someday drinking some 20 year old Bordeaux, but for now, I’m drinking myself through the universe on my finite quest to find out all I can about women, wine, and song.
do you have a clue for me?
